Watch the recording of the live panel discussion webinar “Celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month”

This October, in honor of National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), TPGi is hosting a live panel webinar filled with people with disabilities who have thrived in the workplace. They’ll discuss the challenges they have faced to get to this point in their careers, the tools they employ to be able to do their jobs effectively, and their hopes for the future of an inclusive work environment.

For many people, a career, or even just a 9-5 job, gives them a sense of accomplishment and purpose. People with disabilities still face a significant uphill battle in gaining employment, and the stats support this: in 2019, under 20% of PWD were gainfully employed, compared with 66% of the national population. NDEAM is about celebrating inclusivity and educating people about the benefits of a diverse workforce and refuting misconceptions about what it means to hire someone with a disability.

Panelists:

  • Rachel Buchanan from Vispero
  • Eric Wright from Booz Allen Hamilton
  • Ted Galanos from Galanos Consulting
  • Reginald George from the Washington Department of Services for the Blind
