ARC Product Owner

Full-Time  //  Remote

Primary Function

As a Product Owner for the ARC Platform, you will help guide and shape tools used by accessibility professionals around the world to improve the accessibility of their own sites and applications. In addition, you’ll work with TPGi’s own accessibility professionals to improve the methods and tooling they use to record and track the results of our own client engagements.

The ideal candidate will have a background in or around Software as a Service (SaaS), ideally with knowledge of digital accessibility, as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in an agile team setting. You can take complex topics, simplify them, and explain them to stakeholders and other interested parties in a way that allows you to gather feedback and approval so that our development teams build the right thing, the first time.

Scope of Work

  • Collaborate with the product and development teams to break down roadmap objectives into detailed plans for upcoming sprints and releases.
  • Manage the product backlog effectively, ensuring work items are well-defined, prioritized, and ready for the team.
  • Lead sprint planning sessions to assign and schedule tasks based on product strategy, balancing new features, technical debt, bug fixes, and customer support.
  • Maintain team accountability for delivering committed work and actively remove impediments to meet Release/Sprint goals.
  • Facilitate sprint reviews ensuring clear communication and stakeholder visibility of sprint deliverables.
  • Keep the team engaged and informed by following Agile/Scrum best practices and integrating the latest trends in Agile methodologies.
  • Work closely with the Product Manager to articulate trade-offs and secure buy-in from cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proactively establish and maintain relationships outside of your immediate team to extend influence across the organization.
  • Collaborate with the Product Manager and Marketing team to develop essential go-to-market materials, including training presentations and documents, ensuring successful rollout and adoption of new products and enhancements.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years working experience in Product Owner role in an Agile software development environment.
  • Experience with accessibility is a plus, but not required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience writing clear user-stories utilizing terminology from various Web and/or server technologies.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience in working at a geographically dispersed, remote, company is a plus.
  • Ability to produce wireframes to support user-stories.
  • Ability to think both creatively and tactically, and express it to the team.
  • Self-motivated and works with limited direction.
  • Attention to details.
