Rainna and Elizabeth will discuss the challenges they face as vendors to ensure their clients are providing accessible solutions to students, as well as solutions that helped resolve their problems. Rainna Erikson, Sr. Product Manager VitalSource
Sr. Product Manager, Rainna Erikson is responsible for VitalSource Bookshelf’s Online platform as well as institution, and instructor, facing analytics. As an avid reader with a background in publishing, Rainna works to enhance student learning by championing an integrated accessible reading experience and spearheading new features focused on study tools to help improve student success.
Elizabeth Simister, Product Accessibility Manager at Blackboard Inc.
Elizabeth Simister’s primary focus at Blackboard Inc. is working with the design and development teams to get them to the point where all products are as accessible as possible. Her secondary focus is working with other teams and clients to spread knowledge about accessibility best practices. She has been working in the field of accessibility for over 15 years in a wide range of roles.
Brian Elton, Accessibility Engineer at TPGi
Brian Elton primarily audits websites for WCAG compliance while providing guidance to clients on how to make their websites more accessible. Before joining TPG, Brian spent more than 15 years working at various large digital agencies as a front-end developer and manager with a focus on web accessibility.
