TPGi Launches the ARC Accessibility Test Initiatives API

We are excited to announce the expansion of the ARC Platform API‘s capabilities to include new automated testing against defined Accessibility Test Initiatives. The ARC API will transform how enterprise organizations manage internal accessibility programs and conformance by allowing accessibility program managers to integrate automated testing into the earliest stages of the software development lifecycle through CI/CD and bug tracking systems integrations.

“Companies are continually looking for ways to improve their level of accessibility and to try to do so earlier in their software development lifecycle.” said Travis Brown, VP Sales and Marketing. “ARC API provides a highly-secure and highly-available method for software developers, QA automation, and developer operations teams to insert high-value accessibility testing within their own CI/CD framework.”

David O’Neill, Chief Architect SaaS Platforms is excited about the possibilities, stating “Software development teams have become more agile in recent years and the adoption of CI/CD has grown dramatically. ARC Accessibility Test Initiatives simplifies and largely automates accessibility testing in a typical CI/CD pipeline. ARC clients can now use our API to retrieve accessibility policies, automatically compile unit tests, perform on-demand analysis, and interface with the pipeline decision tree. These capabilities make accessibility test integration simple and affordable for any team to implement.”

Accessibility program managers and developers are all too familiar with the struggle of attempting to remediate accessibility issues as they arise. This is costly, time-consuming, and can slow development operations to a crawl.

TPG’s forward-thinking approach enables accessibility stakeholders to identify and prioritize common, recurring, and significant issues and then set an acceptance criteria policy with which new code must comply. The ARC API is the tool to integrate these policies directly into the development workflow, minimizing the number of accessibility failures that make it to production environments.

Thanks to its API-first architecture, this capability is unique to TPGi’s accessibility management platform, (ARC). ARC API delivers systems and process integration across the technology stack, automates data collection, and acts as a singular portal for accessibility information, reporting, policy creation, and program management.
