Introduction

Welcome to KC News, your monthly briefing on what’s new and updated in the Vispero Knowledge Center. This is our last newsletter for 2025 – the next will be in February 2026.

Knowledge Base

2026 looks like being a very busy year for the Knowledge Center. As well as continuing to review, refine and update the existing testing rules and Knowledge Base guidance articles, we are going to greatly expand them to cover the requirements of the European Accessibility Act and related EN 301 540 technical standards. We’ll also continue expanding guidance for mobile testing, including specific rules, procedures and solutions for iOS, Android, and mobile frameworks.

Our aims is for our solutions delivery teams to be able to test against WCAG, Section 508, EAA / EN 301 549, and the various Titles of the ADA on any device: desktops, laptops, tablets, phones, kiosks – any environment where digital accessibility is required.

Work will also continue on the Tutor self-directed training courses, possibly as a stand alone product to which corporate clients can subscribe and perhaps even individuals.

While this is exciting, it’s also a little daunting with only two KC team members, but we’ll be using artificial intelligence where we can, to streamline the work.

New Tutor Course

We’ve revamped another existing Tutor course, Accessibility for Project Managers, Product Owners, and BAs. Once again, this has effectively become a completely new course, now called Digital Accessibility for Non-technical Product Stakeholders. It should help digital Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Project Managers to understand how important their roles are in ensuring product accessibility. Again, we’ve kept it to just over an hour, including short lesson quizzes and a 10 question course assessment.

Currently, our Tutor courses remain available only to our clients and Vispero staff. Let us know if self-directed training course on a range of digital access topics are of interest to you or your colleagues.

Blog Posts

Both the TPGi Business blog and Technical blog are being folded into the Vispero blog, as part of the process of bringing all the different parts of the corporation under the Vispero banner.

The intention is that we’ll keep publishing technical blog posts on the Vispero site in their own section called Accessibility Practice. We have five blog posts queued up for publication, but they probably won’t appear until the New Year.

We will most likely continue publishing our Weekly Reading List every Monday on the Vispero site, compiled from 511 RSS feeds and 64 email newsletters by Principal Technical Writer Ricky Onsman. The List is in hiatus while Ricky takes some time off, next scheduled for Monday 19 January 2026.
