Embedded Client, Assistive Technology Training Specialist

Full-Time  //  Remote in US

Primary Function

Contribute subject matter expertise to, and deliver, training solutions to users of assistive technology within our government client. Using best-in-class knowledge of Vispero’s Fusion, JAWS, and ZoomText products; in-depth knowledge of the Windows operating system and commonly used productivity tools such as the Microsoft Office suite and internet browsers; and exceptional ability to assess and communicate accessible means of using custom tools provided by our client to its employees with visual disabilities; the Assistive Technology Training Specialist will provide tools and training to empower our client’s users to succeed at their jobs.

Scope of Work

  • Deliver and facilitate webinars, virtual training workshops, and individual training sessions related to accessibility using Vispero’s Fusion, JAWS, and ZoomText products; the Microsoft Windows operating system and commonly used productivity tools such as the Microsoft Office suite and internet browsers; and custom tools provided by our client to its employees with visual disabilities.
  • Contribute assessment, research, and subject matter expertise to TPGi’s development of tools and training which empower our client’s users to succeed at their jobs.
  • Collaborate with other teammates and departments within TPGi and our client on content creation.
  • Analyze key performance indicators to determine content effectiveness.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position will work closely with, and coach, trainers of assistive technology, but does not have any direct supervisory responsibility.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Ability to acquire public trust clearance.
  • Experience with classroom and individual instructional development and delivery.
  • Ability to manage multiple training projects and/or programs. • Strong facilitation and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience designing and developing instructor-led and supplemental content with technical subject matter documentation.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must be highly self-motivated and customer centric.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in multimedia design, instructional design, or a related field in training development is preferred.
  • 2-5 year’s experience training users of the assistive technology products for which this position is to support.

The typical salary range for this position is USD $50,000 – $70,000 based on experience and geographic location. This position is located at United States Veterans Affairs Remote.
