Embedded Assistive Technology Training Coordinator

Primary Function

The Embedded Assistive Technology Training Coordinator will design, develop, and empower delivery of training solutions to users of assistive technology within our government client. Using best-in-class knowledge of web content development and advanced learning principles, this strategic thinker will deliver engaging, complete, accessible media that supports the team’s trainers of Vispero’s Fusion, JAWS, and ZoomText products. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional skills in instructional delivery and will have demonstrated experience developing content for a wide array of audiences and subject matter. This is a remote position that reports to the Practice Manager, Expert Services.

Scope of Work

The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position.

  • Build or refine instructional content, such as but not limited to presentations and supplementary documents, empowering trainers’ delivery of webinars, virtual training workshops, and individual training sessions related to accessibility using Vispero’s Fusion, JAWS, and ZoomText products; the Microsoft Windows operating system and commonly used productivity tools such as the Microsoft Office suite and internet browsers; and custom tools provided by our client to its employees with visual disabilities.
  • Assist trainers in assessing and brainstorming content and structure of new training materials.
  • Ensure training artifacts to meet brand standards defined by TPGi and/or our client, developing new standards where warranted.
  • In partnership with the team lead, analyze key performance indicators to determine content effectiveness.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position will work closely with, and coach, trainers of assistive technology, but does not have any direct supervisory responsibility.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Ability to acquire public trust clearance.
  • Minimum two year’s experience designing and developing classroom and individual instructional material and supplemental documentation.
  • Experience with classroom and eLearning instructional development and delivery.
  • Successful development of eLearning solutions, including interactive modules, mobile learning, and digital training materials.
  • Proficient with eLearning applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple training projects and/or programs simultaneously.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience designing and developing instructor-led content with technical subject matter.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must be highly self-motivated and customer centric.


  • Bachelor’s degree in multimedia design, instructional design, or a related field in training development is preferred.
  • 2+ years designing and developing classroom and individual instructional material and supplemental documentation.
  • Familiarity with accessibility for users with visual impairments and assistive technologies they use strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Fusion, JAWS, or ZoomText a plus.

The typical salary range for this position is USD $50,000 – $70,000 based on experience and geographic location. This position is located at United States Veterans Affairs Remote.
